Dr. Dimitris Manolakos – Project Coordinator
Dimitris Manolakos is Associate Professor at Agricultural University of Athens (AUA). He is Mechanical Engineer of National Technical University of Athens with more than 20 years of experience in the fields of: (i) heat to power conversion technologies, focused mainly on the technology of Organic Rankine Cycle systems combined with solid biomass, waste heat or solar heat (ii) Autonomous electricity generation and storage from Renewable Energy Sources (RES) (PVs, and hybrid systems), (ii) RES and heat pumps integration in agricultural buildings (greenhouses and livestock), and (iv) RES systems for sea water desalination with Reverse Osmosis. He has taken part in more than 25 European and national funded projects as the main researcher and energy expert, as well as coordinator of EU and national funded projects. He has published 31 papers in International Journals (Scopus cited), with more than 1150 citations and an h-index=18.
Dimitrios Tyris – Assistant Project Manager
Dimitrios Tyris is a Mechanical Engineer (University of Thessaly). He obtained his M.Sc. degree from the National TechnologicalUniversity of Athens, in the field of Automation Systems (Specialization in Manufacturing and Production Systems) and has worked in precision manufacturing and energy sectors. His research interests include the indoor environmental control and energy performance of livestock and agricultural buildings, using renewable energy sources.
