During the second day of the 5th RES4LIVE Consortium Meeting, we had the chance to visit the LVAT pilot farm, where the biogas to biomethane upgrading unit has been delivered. Dr. Lukas Wannasek and Prof. Thomas Amon (ATB) gave us an overview of its main components and function, as well as the innovative engineering approach that was followed during its design phase. Its integration into the existing biogas infrastructure will begin soon, and we are looking forward to seeing it being paired with the biomethane tractor of CRMT, which will arrive at the farm in January 2023.
